A RICKSHAW PULLER

 Rickshaw is a kind of three-wheeled vehicle. It is a very popular transport in our country. So, a Rickshaw puller is a common figure in our country.  Pulling a rickshaw is a very tough job but the earning from it is very low. As a result, a rickshaw puller in our country is ever poor and hapless. He is a day labourer. He carries passenger and goods from one place to another place on payment. They play a vital role in the transport system in Bangladesh.  Usually, he pulls the Rickshaw of others. In Bangladesh, we see them on every road. We usually find them in front of the school, college, office and shopping malls. A Rickshaw puller usually gets up early in the morning and goes down on the road with his Rickshaw.  A Rickshaw puller works from day to night and in midnight. He does not care about the condition of the weather. In spite of foul weather, he has to pull his Rickshaw as he must earn for his family. He works very hard but he earns a little. A Rickshaw puller is completely an honest man. He does not owe to anyone. He is generally gentle in nature. It is true that some Rickshaw pullers behave rudely with the passenger and demand high fare. A Rickshaw puller generally lives in a slum which is usually unhealthy and unhygienic. He lives from hand to mouth as his earning is so short that he can not support his family properly. He can not buy good food and necessary clothes for him and his family for want of money. His per day income is not enough to buy the necessary things for each day. He usually spends his per day income within the day. If he becomes, he can not manage a doctor for his proper treatment due to poverty. He usually suffers from various kinds of diseases. He has to pull his Rickshaw disregarding his illness. Really the life a Rickshaw puller is full of sorrow and sufferings. He gets up early in the morning and goes down in the street with a rickshaw to carry passengers from one place to another. In all weathers, whether it is good or bad, he is seen carrying passengers. Though a rickshaw puller pulls his rickshaw from morning till night, he leads a very poor and hard life. He generally lives in a slum area, which is unhealthy and unhygienic. He supports himself and his family with great hardship. He can’t afford to buy good food and clothes for himself and his family for want of money. The money that he earns is spent mostly on buying his daily food. He suffers greatly when he cannot pull a rickshaw. Considering his services to the middle-class people who generally go by rickshaw, we should do something to improve his lot.
